Shoppers can browse through the shops found in the Confederation Court
Mall while Peakes Quay and numerous other stores found in the downtown
core contain a countless variety of gift ideas.
The impressive
architecture of both Province House and St. Dunstan`s Basilica make up
the secular centre of the city, forming the axis of old Charlottetown.
Opened in 1964, the Confederation Centre of the Arts contains an art
gallery exhibiting the talents of local artists and holds in its
collection many works of Canadian cultural and historical significance.
The annual Charlottetown Festival celebrates Canadian culture past and
present with a variety of theatrical productions including the perennial
favorite "Anne of Green Gables".
