Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island
Wood Islands is the first view of the Island one sees from the deck of
the Northumberland Ferry. The bright red soil, green grass, fishing
shanties and the lighthouse guarding the harbour, are an unforgettable
site.
Close by are two Provincial Parks, Wood Islands Provincial Park
and Northumberland Provincial Park.
They are open for all to enjoy, beach walks, shell collecting, swimming
and more. Northumberland has barbecue shelters and a playground for
everyone.
