Once the major stop between Charlottetown and Summerside on P.E.I`s
trans-provincial railway, Breadalbane is scenically nestled amongst the
wooded hills and pastoral farmland of Central Queens County. The
community was one of the first on P.E.I. to build and utilize a
hydro-electric generating station and the Breadalbane Dam also provides
anglers with the opportunity to fish for trophy Brook Trout.
A scenic
nature trail which cuts deep into the wooded interior of the region
enables visitors to better acquaint themselves with the wildlife that
abounds throughout the unspoiled wilderness. As well, the Junction Road
has been designated a National Scenic Heritage Road, highlighted by
spectacular views of the Queens County landscape.
