Town of Kensington, a beautiful and picturesque town at the heart of
Prince Edward Island. Kensington, once known as 5 Lanes End is a modern,
progressive and vibrant community in which to live, work and relax.
Kensington is the commercial heart of over thirty surrounding fishing
and farming communities. The Town offers all of the amenities of a large
community, but the serenity of a small town.
Please take time to shop in one of our various commercial enterprises
including a clothing store, craft shop, art gallery, bakery and
restaurants among many, many others. Alternatively, please drop by the
historic Kensington Train Station (once frequented by Lucy Maud
Montgomery, the author of the Anne of Green Gables story), stroll our
walkways, jog or cycle the confederation trail, visit a museum or visit
the haunted Mansion.
Kensington is the gateway to many of the island's most visited and
well-known places, including the famed Malpeque Bay, the beautiful
seaside City of Summerside, and the City of
Charlottetown (our province's capital). Cavendish, "The Land of Anne
of Green Gables", is approximately 20 kilometers away and is home to one
of PEI's most beautiful beaches as well as countless other tourist
attractions. All these and more are reached via the Town of Kensington!
